Gold Rush Grass / Gold Capturing Mat (Taojin Grass)

Taojin Grass (also known as gold-capturing grass, gold rush mat, or gold recovery mat) is a special artificial grass-like tool designed for placer gold mining.
It is usually made of high-strength polyethylene (PE), with dense plastic "grass blades" on the surface, and is a key auxiliary material for efficiently recovering gold particles in modern placer gold mining.
- Appearance: As shown in your picture, it is bright green, with different specifications of fiber thickness, density, and height to adapt to different ore sand particle sizes.
- Core Principle: It physically intercepts and adsorbs tiny gold particles in the water flow through the gaps between fibers and surface characteristics, achieving gold enrichment.
 

 

(1). Gold Particle Recovery in Placer Gold / Alluvial Gold Mines
Laid under sluice boxes, gold washing equipment, and vibrating screens, when gold-bearing ore sand and water flow pass through, gold particles (especially micron-sized fine gold particles) will be trapped in the gaps of the grass fibers to achieve efficient enrichment.
- High-quality gold rush grass can intercept more than 90% of fine gold particles, far exceeding the recovery rate of traditional sluice boxes.
- Suitable for various scenarios such as river gold panning, dry land gold washing, and tailings secondary recovery.
(2). Recovery of Other Heavy Metal Particles
In addition to gold, it can also be used to recover heavy metal ore particles such as tungsten, tin, and lead, serving as a low-cost gravity separation auxiliary tool in small-scale beneficiation operations.

- Fix it to the bottom of the sluice box or equipment during laying to avoid being washed away by the water flow; choose fiber height according to ore sand particle size (short fibers for fine gold particles, long fibers for coarse gold particles).
- When collecting gold particles, remove the gold rush grass, rinse it with a high-pressure water gun, collect the gold particles into a container, and then proceed with subsequent purification.
- Common Specifications: Grass height 10-30mm. Higher density and thicker fibers mean better gold capture effect, and the price is relatively higher.
